The Quest for The Meadows Begins!!

The 2009 Golf Season begins this Thursday at 3:30 as the St. Joseph golf team begins their season long quest to return to the State Finals and improve greatly on last year's performance.

State Finals

St. Joseph is currently ranked 9th in the State heading into the state finals, where they will hopefully improve on that ranking. The tournament begins at 9:00 AM on Friday and continues at 8:00 AM on Saturday. Each day will feature 18 holes of golf. I will try to provide updates on this site, if possible. St. Joe is Going to State!!!!

St. Joseph shot a 306 on Thursday at Stonehedge North to advance to the State Finals. Battle Creek Lakeview won with a 303 and Dexter finished 2nd with a 305, but the story of the day was the St. Joseph Bears who recorded 5 rounds in the 70's to advance back to the State Finals for the 1st time since 2003. Leading the way for the Bears was Eric Robbins with a 2 over par 74. Austin Grall was 2nd with a 76, followed by Ryan Nash with a 77, and DJ Valensi and Eric Phillips both added 79's. In addition, the Bears defeated rival Niles by 19 shots to close out the season series. On to Eagle Crest.....
